Membership to the Cromford Golf Club gives you exclusive private access to the Facility via a shared online booking system 6 days per week (Tues-Sun), 12 hours per day (from 8am to 8pm).
As the Cromford Golf Simulator is a single bay housed within a self-contained barn specifically for that purpose, it really is like having your own private golf simulator.
Membership to a private indoor golf simulator also obviously allows you to play golf whatever the weather (and what could be more satisfying than a relaxing round of golf on an iconic course with free tea and coffee whilst it is snowing outside?).
Private members gain access to many more facilities than via the public booking system which is in place every Monday including, but not limited to:
- use of the building and all facilities within the building
- invitation to club events
- access to all golf courses (there are over 300,000 golf courses on the TGC golf sim)
- free training on how to get the best out of the golf simulator (carried out within the first week of membership)
- access to the Cromford Golf Facility 6 days per week (Tues-Sun)
Membership Structure and Controls
Membership is quite exclusive, by invitation only and very limited in order to ensure fair and sufficient access to the facility for all members.
In order to control membership numbers, the following approach will be taken:
- No more than 2 new private members will be added to the club per calendar month
- The total membership of the Cromford Golf Club will never exceed a maximum of 72 persons
Membership Fees
Private Membership involves an initial Joining Fee in the first year of £200 plus a Membership Fee of £300. Following the first year, there is no joining fee to pay for year 2 or any consecutive year. In addition the Membership Fee actually reduces year on year by £10 each year to a minimum of £180 as long as you remain a member. Therefore the Membership Fee in year 2 is £290, year 3 is £280 and so on (with the same access to the facilities). This is to reward loyalty and retain the most valued and trusted private members. The idea is to build a trusted and tight-knit community who value and look after the facility and treat it as their own.
Guests and Guest Fees
Each private member may bring up to 3 guests. It can get a little crammed with more than one guest but provided care is taken it is possible to play with up to four people at a time.
Any individual guest can visit the facility hosted by a private member up to 3 times. After the 3rd time, the guest would be expected to join themselves as a private member (subject to approval) in order to continue using the facility or pay a guest fee of £20 per visit (this is a flat fee whether visiting for 1, 2 or 3 hours) to use the facility after the first 3 free visits.
Note: If a private member is found to break this rule then their membership could be cancelled.
